Overture of 1812

The overture of 1812 to me was a lot more then a simple piece of music, It seemed to provide a sense of what the war was like and how it was in certain periods of time, when there was a crescendo it seemed as if more shooting or a higher scale of fighting was occurring at the moment. The song really gave a feeling of what these times were like and how it was to live or die within them.
